The WAEC will commence the marking exercises for the 2018 WASSCE on the 1st of June, 2018. Already, invitation letter and sms had been dispatched to existing examiners to come for coordination exercises on 31st May, 2018.
New examiners are also invited to appear at marking venues to participate in this year marking exercises. Prospective examiners are to note the following:
Qualification for appointing Examiners for The West African Examinations Council marking exercise
Possess a minimum of first degree or its equivalent in a field related to the subject he/she wishes to examine;
Have a minimum of two years post- NYSC teaching experience preferably a Senior Secondary School;
Possess thorough knowledge of the subject he/she wishes to examine;
Complete the prescribed application form; Prospective Examiners
Come along with the credentials to the marking centre for sighting and attach photocopies to the completed application form;
He/She must be a person of high integrity, therefore there must be an attestation to his/her character from the current employer.
All Team Leaders are to converged for their coordination on the 31st of May, 2018 while Assistant Examiners are to converge for their coordination on the 1st of June, 2018.
